Ok latest notice: For those who maybe concerned about the weed in Rotherfield Pond, You will be pleased to learn that Pondlife is now officially on his long holiday and there are plans afoot to get things back to a manageable level….. 1st Go will be on Wednesday 14th July… If you want to help out then 8 o’clock onwards at the pond, all welcome…
pondlife what is needed at cooks is your situpon mower converted to a hovercraft ,and mow the lot 1/2″ should look nice,or just fish away from the lilies and reeds, wore the flip/flops down rotherfield feet got wet,i dont think the groundsman has been down there for at least a week,P.S. a couple of the pegs there need altering my new box just wont sit right.
You are not wrong there Muldoon, A week is about right, thats the trouble when work gets in the way……
If you can pinpoint the pegs that need the attention for your box then i’ll see what can be done, alternatively how about a set of wedges and a spirt level?? Am I going to have to start bringing a theodolite and survey chain to match draws???
fished north mill sunday.and had another excellent bag of fish between 8-10lbs of non carp.4 trout,3 grayling,3perch 25+ROACH the rest dace and no minnows.well done to those responsible for re-vamping north mill, give it a go you will be surprised.to all you carp boys why not try and catch one of those wily old carp that live in north mill, pegs 21-28 were where they used to live, the best i had was 14.5lbs mirror.
is there any work going do be done at cooks pond
What did you have in mind????
reed cutting and lilliepad trimming
Specifically whereabouts mate? Peg numbers? The lillies are hard enough to grow there as it is without grubbing them out again….
