Bailiffing:
There have been a few incidents of people flouting the rules by fishing YOUR waters WITHOUT membership or day tickets. There are only a few people however that bother to check whether anglers are members or have tickets.. There are those who believe that it is the committee’s job to bailiff the waters?? NO !! it is every members responsibility. Please do your bit !!
We have also had complaints from our landlords regarding members being where they shouldn’t and trespassing, to this end ALL MEMBERS PLEASE TAKE NOTE……. Parking at Rotherfield Pond is in the car park adjacent to the pond and NOT in the health centre car park. The access to the river at Greatham Bridge is via the gate and fishing is only allowed between the bridge and the boundary fence upstream. People have been caught trespassing above this boundary and said that they were Rother members…
There have also been set lines found at Rotherfield Pond, If you come across anything that you think is suspicious then please leave it alone and report it to the E.A. on 0800 80 70 60…. The Agency cannot act unless set lines etc are in situ…
Christmas Draw: Winner of the £100 first prize was Wayne Fordham.
Many thanks to all members who sold Xmas draw tickets, the people that bought them and those who donated prizes. The draw raised in excess of £500 for the club coffers
Match Reports:
The club again, retains the Lake Trophy and Rother Valley Shield and has seen the 3 Counties League Teams enjoying success with teams winning the Top Team title and the A B & C Leagues
A bit of a disaster with the Supercup though with the team being beaten by Horsted Keynes by 2 points on the day, a good effort but better luck next year guys.
